Safe Place

At this moment your life is a bruised reed and I will not crush it, a smoldering wick and I will not quench it. You are in a safe place.

Deepest fears

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyound measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We are ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

- Nelson Mandella

So much snow...

After receiving snow over and over and over again, this is how my vehicle feels.

San Francisco

During my recent trip to San Franciso, I was able to spend part of the day wandering around the city. Here is the story of my day from my camera's point of view...

Fishermans Wharf was a world in and of itself. There were so many different scenes. This rainbow was a great start and reminder to enjoy the day at the playground that God gifted me.

I was able to take this great ride on a ferry. The coolest aspect of the boat ride was going under The Golden Gate Bridge.

The ferry also went around Alcatraz. There is such a sobering spirit around the island. That land has such a death giving spirit to it. I wonder if someday it will be redeemed for something beautiful and life giving?

When you see a massive sign that says Ghirardelli, how can you pass that by? I was able to stop by and pick up some yummy chocolates. But what actually stole my attention in that plaza was the cute little card shop. Seriously...I should invest in cute card shops...I spend soooo much time in them! Then again, I invested lots of laughter while I was there. Kudos to all you out there that make cards to go in these types of shops.

My last adventure of the evening was a trolley ride. I just couldn't leave without a last look at San Francisco.

Just makes me smile....

You know you're a hick when...

This is what you see when you pull in your driveway...

And this is what you do for evening entertainment...

As we broke up the chair, I realized that I should never have allowed this chair in my house. The things & smells that we found in it were scarry!
We bought this chair at an Amish Mud Sale a couple years ago for $0.50. As we disasembled the chair, we found $0.75 cents in the chair. That's right....we made money off the Mud Sale!
